The method saves test kits in the laboratory that are currently in short supply, Ciesek emphasizes. The research group is currently investigating the maximum number of samples that could be brought together. “This makes it possible to implement the extension of testing to other population groups, which is required by all scientists and politicians, even with the limited test kit resources earlier than was previously assumed,” says Seifried.
