Hong Kong recorded no new Covid-19 cases for the third time in a week on Sunday, keeping the total tally of infections at 1,037.

The Department of Health and Hospital Authority would cancel the daily coronavirus press briefing because there were no new infections, a government source said.

Hong Kong also reported no new cases on Friday and last Monday.

The health authorities said earlier that the contagion would only be considered under control if no new cases were recorded for at least one or two incubation periods, meaning two weeks to a month.
