
There is no new case of Covid-19 infection in Hong Kong today, marking the sixth time within a week that no new infections have been detected in a day.
As of 1pm today, the tally stood at 1,040, including one probable case and four deaths.
One more patient has been discharged, bringing the total of recovered patients to 859. The remaining 177 sufferers were still hospitalized.
The SAR has been recording none or single-digit number of cases every day since April 12, and there have been no new local infections recorded in 13 days since April 22.
New imported cases were last recorded yesterday. One male and female resident stranded in Pakistan returned to Hong Kong on a charter flight arranged by the government on Thursday and was sent to Chun Yeung Estate when he tested positive.
